I'm a teenage girl living in Ontario, Canada. My passions involve reading books of mostly YA and Contemporary.

Under The Never Sky

Under the Never Sky - Veronica Rossi

Honestly, I had a love-hate relationship with this book. I loved the concept of the story, it reminded me a lot of the Divergent Trilogy by Veronica Roth.

First, I loved the characters. I enjoyed reading how Aria grew from an innocent dependent girl into the independent and strong female character she becomes. I fell in love with Perry; I love how he easily becomes jealous of the way Aria is easy-going with Roar as well as he becomes accustomed (rendered) to Aria in the condition where he doesn't feel like himself without her. Roar is just to die for. He is hilarious and alluring; his loyalty and love towards Liv, especially in there situation, summarize how dedicated he is as a person and that he will fight for anyone he loves.

Second, the world itself, was confusing to comprehend at first. I believe that more description is needed for readers to truly comprehend the events occurring at the beginning of the book. However, it gets better to understand as the book plays out.

Also, I would say that the plot was okay. In my opinion, the plot moved a little too slow at times however, it was fairly fast-paced overall. It was a really good read for an adventure book. Usually, i would get easily bored however, Rossi easily kept my attention.

Under The Never Sky was well written. The content was easily comparable to a teenager (as the age of the Protagonists).

In my opinion, I believe that the romantic portion of the book took too long to surface. The majority of the book was mostly about their different quests and losses. However, the romance was quite intriguing. I believe that Aria and Perry make a beautiful and strange couple.

Overall, this book is fairly good for it genre. Honestly, I went into this book thinking that iIwould not like it but was quickly surprised. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoyed the Divergent Trilogy.

I cannot wait to read the next book: Through The Ever Night.
